The new Cyrus CD Transport (CD T) is a high resolution CD transport designed to partner our latest generation of amplifiers that come with a high quality DAC built-in to connect with and improve all your digital sources. Because CD T is based on our award winning CD XT SE2 model, albeit using less exotic components and simplifying some circuits, CD T will provide almost all of the incredible detail that is found in the thrilling sound of our flagship player but at a much more affordable price point. This ‘entry level’ CD player offers the hi-fi enthusiast unprecedented price/performance.
The reason CD T can deliver such unusual value is Cyrus’ multi-award winning CD technology that is able to read more data ‘right first time’ from a CD than any other CD system, delivering audibly better resolution. Cyrus is unique in having this CD ‘engine’ because we invested in reengineering the complex control software especially for our needs as the worlds most advanced manufacturer of CD players. Despite being based on the X series CDXTSE2, the new and fully upgradeable CD T is priced at under half its price.
The latest range of Cyrus DAC-enabled amplifiers allow you to connect up to five digital and six analogue devices to your system for total flexibility. Partnering the new CD T with our latest 6 DAC amplifier will create a truly special hi-fi system with many upgrade options for the future.
The CD T features our unique Servo Evolution ‘CD Engine’ matched with close tolerance components that together deliver remarkable performance for its price. The CD T is, like many Cyrus models, factory upgradeable to higher models in our range. Although the CD T uses a simpler power supply (a single power transformer, rather than the twin transformer arrangement of the CDXTSE2) CD T does have a multi-regulated power section that allows the player to extract extremely high levels of data from CD’s, and importantly, with industry leading low read error rates.
Inside the low resonance, die-cast aluminum chassis of the CD T, our carefully chosen premium quality laser and associated electromechanical sled components are further mechanically isolated to allow our in-house developed ‘Servo Evolution’ software to control the microscopic laser and motor movements that allow the unique Cyrus CD platform to be the best CD ‘engine’ in the world.
Because CD T is built around our high resolution SE ‘engine’ this affordable player is easily capable of outperforming CD players many times its price. Also included is MC-BUS to connect together all Cyrus components in a system so each unit powers on/off automatically as needed. Two digital outputs (toslink) and SPDIF (RCA) are included. CD T is factory upgradeable to the flagship CD XT SE2 transport that forms the cornerstone of our four box high-end CD system.
