I loved my parent’s music taste while I was growing up. My mum had a Rita Franklin casette tape in the car which would blast out the greatest diva classics of all time! I know all the words to every one of her songs!!
My Dad on the other hand had a lovely system in the living room and he had a great music collection – vinyl and cassette tapes such as The Beatles, Dire Straits, Monkeys, The Kinks, The Beach Boys and Pink Floyd.
My Dad loves his music. He would often play – Money for Nothing in the car when I was small and it is still his favourite.
My Mum and Dad gave me a great education on music and I have them to thank for that.
As my brother is 7 years older than I am – I grew up listening to some amazing bands like U2, INXS, Depeche Mode, New Order, The Police, Erasure and sole signer James Brown.
Van Morrison was also part of my brother’s collection and one of my favourite songs to date is Moondance. I managed to see Van Morrison at the Cambridge Folk Festival a couple of years ago. – amazing!
I listen to all kinds of music and love nothing more than chilling, listening to my favourite albums and finding new ‘up and coming’ artists on iTunes search.
Christine and the Queens – I really love this album and it’s dominating my commute into work these days. I have seen this album on many of my colleague’s TIDAL accounts!
