CD7

The CD 7 was a new platform for Cyrus CD players and includes the latest transport developments with our highly regarded 24 bit DAC technology, now built onto the main PCB. To help you keep up to date with rapid advances in IC technology we have included an interface to add a new DAC card at a later date. The optional DAC card is called Q7 and can be fitted by your Cyrus retailer at any point in the future, where available.

The CD player may be further improved by adding the PSX-R power supply. CD 7 succeeds by incorporating a wealth of digital and analogue expertise.

Monolithic triple beam Laser Assembly – Consistency, reliability and ultimate accuracy
High quality glass Laser optics – Minimal reading error generation
24 Bit Integrated Filter DAC – State of the Art technical performance, exceptional low level resolution
High precision quartz reference anti jitter circuit – High accuracy re-clocking eliminates timing errors
Specially developed analogue output stage – Low noise 4 pole filter design provides a flat response across audio band.
Extensive use of Star-earthing – Minimises power supply effects on audio signal
PSXability – Enhancing performance by further isolation of Power supply
Phase-invert facility – For absolute phase correction
Track skip programming mode – Selected tracks may be removed from playback
Non-magnetic lightweight die-cast chassis – Interference-free low-resonance enclosure
